Cerise brings a breadth of communications experience to her role at LAG Strategy. She previously served as Director of Media Relations at California State University, Fullerton and Director of Public Relations at Chapman University. Prior to her work in higher education, she built a distinguished career in journalism, serving as city editor at the Orange County Register and as a reporter and editor at the Daily Breeze in Torrance, Calif.

With more than 25 years of experience spanning journalism, public relations and crisis management, Cerise has developed and executed comprehensive communications programs across sectors, including capital campaign messaging, multimedia storytelling initiatives, and media training for senior executives. She is known for her ability to translate complex issues into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with key audiences.

She teaches communications and public relations at Cal State Fullerton.
